Crystal is Turkish Airlines' new business class, and it arrives on newly delivered Airbus A350s from November 2026. The existing Boeing 777 fleet is not expected to be rebuilt before 2027 or 2028. For the next two or three years the same route at a similar fare can be a suite with a door or a window seat with a stranger between you and the aisle. Only the aircraft type and the seat map say which.
What Crystal is
A 1-2-1 layout: one seat at each window and two in the middle, so nobody climbs over a neighbour to reach an aisle. A privacy door at each seat, 23 inches of seat width, wireless charging, larger screens and marble-style cocktail tables.
Treat November as a date to verify. As of mid-2026 no Turkish aircraft had carried a passenger with Crystal installed, and the programme had already slipped from an original target of early 2025.
What you are buying until then
Much of the 777 fleet flies business class in 2-2-2: a good seat, no door, and from the window someone between you and the aisle. That is the cabin behind most cheap Turkish business fares today, and it is part of what the lower price buys. Turkish is in Star Alliance either way, so either cabin earns Miles & More Points.

Before you pay
Read the seat map for your exact flight and date, then read it again a week before departure: a retrofit, the rebuilding of a cabin in an aircraft already in service, makes an airline move aircraft around. Qatar and Emirates are in the same position, so comparing the three on price is also comparing them on cabin.
